Eyetracking Infographics :

A strangely relevant post for me at the moment - yesterday at the D&AD lecture, we were made aware of the concept of "3 seconds to sell", this theory states that any product in a given store has a maximum of 3 seconds of exposure to a potential customer.

A study documenting this theory using 'eyetracking' equipment caught my eye when researching infographics over at coolinfographics.

This is a great way to visualise the way in which a consumers eye travels around a piece of commercial design - it is also strangely relevant to me a
s one of my housemates explained the use of an eyetracker a few days ago - as he is implementing one in his primary research for his psychology dissertation.
